SPA-H atmosferik korozyona dayanıklı çelik saçların direnç nokta kaynaklı bağlantılarında hasar tipinin çekme-sıyırma dayanımı üzerindeki etkisi

In this study, influence of failure mode on tensile-peel strength of resistance spot welds of SPA-H weathering steel sheets was investigated. The weathering steels are widely used in the body of rolling stock. The samples were obtained in a 120 kVA capacity electrical resistance spot welding machine. The sheets were welded by RSW by fixing holding time, clamping time and electrode force as well as changing welding current and welding time. The prepared welding specimens were exposed to tensile-peel tests in order to determine the joint strengths. The relation between failure mode and tensile-peel strengths of obtained spot welded joints was researched, so the optimum welding currents and times were advised.
