摘要
Mixed criticality systems (def.): a mixed-critical system is an integrated suite of hardware, operating system and middleware services and application software that supports the execution of safety-critical, mission-critical, and non-critical software within a single, secure compute platform. Imagine a time in the near future when in order to meet an emerging threat, the US Air Force needs to develop and field a new type of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that can operate in close proximity to large civilian populations and near politically sensitive assets. The vehicle needs to be developed and certified airworthy as rapidly and at as low a cost as possible, while building an UAV meeting particular mission payload requirements. At the same time, confidence and assurance in its vehicle's reliability and performance is paramount.
