semanticscholar(2019)
Abstract
To investigate the changes of serum trace elements in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and to provide evidence for the prevention, control and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. A cross-sectional study was conducted in 50 patients with diabetes mellitus and 50 healthy controls. The contents of trace elements in serum were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). T test was used to analyze the difference of serum trace element levels between type 2 diabetic patients and healthy controls. Compared with the healthy control group, the body weight and BMI of the diabetic group were increased significantly (P<0.05), serum B and V levels were significantly lower in diabetic patients (P<0.05), and serum Co and Mo contents were not statistically significant (P>0.05).
