The aim of this paper is to interpret the information obtained from the simulation of ECGs and arrhythmias. We used a simplified semiphysiological ionic model that reproduces action potential morphologies. The model divides all ion currents into three groups according to their function, thus resulting into fast-inward, slow-inward and slow-outward currents. Data obtained from the model was used to analyse two of the most common arrhythmias, i.e. alternans and ventricular tachycardia.
