OBSERVATION ON THERAPEUTIC EFFICACY OF GN-CSF INHALAFION IN PATIENTS WITH RECURRENT PULMONARY ALVEOLAR PROTEINOSIS

retrospective analysis was performed. At first, HA in BAL fluid was compared between patients with aPAP and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Next, the relationship of HA in BAL fluid with clinical parameters was analyzed in patients with aPAP. Finally, we compared HA in BAL fluid between patients with and without therapeutic whole lung lavage. Results: In patients with aPAP, HA in BAL fluid, which was significantly higher than in those with IPF. In addition, HA in BAL fluid had a significant positive correlation with serum LDH, KL-6, SP-A, and CEA. Furthermore, HA in BAL fluid was significantly higher in patients with therapeutic whole lung lavage than in those without the therapy. Conclusion: In patients with aPAP, HA in BAL fluid may be a clinically useful biomarker which reflects the disease severity.
