Abstract
In recent years the investment in renewable energy has been very significant, either personally or at enterprise level, and photovoltaics has suffered a strong growth. Knowing this, we tried to develop a multilevel, buck-boost, bidirectional converter for photovoltaic systems with energy storage in a bank of batteries. The converter is based on three different voltage levels followed by an inverter/rectifier block to allow the connection to the electrical low-voltage grid. In addition to the development of the topology, all the design and implementation of its control mechanisms have been completed. Afterwards we proceeded to the implementation of a supervisor that aims to control energy flow, using fuzzy logic because of its high versatility of implementation.
