The purpose of this research is to know the: (1) improvement of the results of learning math students with open-ended approach, (2) the difference in the results of learning math students taught using open-ended approach with improved learning results mathematics students taught using conventional learning model. This type of research quantitative research design experimental quasi-experimental design. The population of the entire research grade VII SMP N 1 Masaran, consisting of 258 students divided into 8 classes.
