Synopsis In this symposium we report on asymmetric interference effects in double capture collisions of He2+ on CO. Different from previous studies where the homo-diatomic molecule (homo-DM), such as H2, were used as the ‘double-slit’, the heterodiatomic molecule (hetero-DM) CO plays the role of “double slits” and the interference effects (to which we refer as two-center interference) in the molecular orientation distributions are studied. The experimental data shows that interference oscillating symmetries are broken, and the phase information about the collision dynamics can be extracted from such asymmetries.
