摘要
Seventy pregnant female mice were divided equally into control and three treatment groups D1; D2; D3 represent the three stages of pregnancy, each treated group subdivided equally into two group (TD; OD). Animals of treatment groups (TD1, TD2, TD3) and (OD1, OD2, OD3) were given daily by oral route a therapeutic dose (2 mg/kg BW) and ten fold dose (20 mg/kg BW) of oseltamivir phosphate respectively for the period of trimester study (stage 1, 2 and 3) respectively. The prenatal developmental effect showed significant increase in number of dead and resorbed fetuses with significant decrease in gestation period, gestation index and fertility index, the postnatal effects showed significant decrease in viability index, lactating index and weight gains of suckling pups. The cytogenetic effect showed significant increase in mitotic index of both dosed male and female mice of stage one at both doses of oseltamivir, While the cytogenetic effect on pups showed significant increase of mitotic index at over dose with significant decrease at therapeutic dose.
