Abstract
The liposarcoma is one of the most important of the soft tissue sarcomas. This is largely because it is one of the most common and has proved to be the most common of all at one centre (Enzinger, 1965). Its importance also lies in the fact that, particularly with the better differentiated variants, the chances of cure are reasonably good if treatment is adequate. In the past, six important series of cases have been described and details of these, together with our own, are given in Table I.
