摘要
The success o f an organic compound as corrosion inhibitor is strictly related to the molecular structure and the environment. Also the selection of a suitable inhibitor for a particular system is a difficult task, because o f the selectıvity of the inhibitors and wide variety o f corrosive environment. Therefore, the development of corrosion inhibitors which can provide stable and meaningful corrosion protection has stili been studied vvidely. The inhibition efficiency of organic compound is generally resulted from physical adsorption [1], [2]. When atı organic molecule with an aromatic ring or/and heteroatoms (P, Se, S, N, O) with an unshared electron pair is adsorbed on the surface, some kind of co-ordinate covalent bond is assumed to be formed. Generally, the tendency to form a stronger coordination bond and consequently inhibition efficiency should increase in the order 0 < N< S< P [3]. Regarding these general rules, most o f commercial inhibitor applications include a mixture of various compounds, in order to provide long lasting protection.
