摘要
Background: Starting in December 2019, the SARS-CoV-2 virus caused severe pneumonia in Wuhan and spread nationwide and globally. Here, we report the clinical features of COVID-19 patients in Guangxi, China. Methods: Data of 85 confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infected patients were collected from a designated hospital of Guangxi from Jan 15 to Mar 7, 2020. The epidemiology, baseline, clinical characteristics, laboratory test, treatment and outcome of these patients were analyzed. Findings: Most of the patients are female (60%). The incidence of local patients in Guangxi is mainly familial clustering. The first symptoms were fever (64.7%) and cough (43.5%). Lymphocytes increased in 45.5% juveniles and lymphocytes decreased in 55.6% severe patients. The infection indexes were not elevated in all juveniles. D-dimer increased (100%) and oxygenation index decreased (44.4%) were observed in the severe group. After two consecutive times of nucleic acid detecting with negative, 3.6% patients showed the phenomenon of recovery of positive. 18 (24%) patients showed linear in chest CT, including 1(10%) juvenile, 1 (11.1%) mild, 14 (29.8%) moderate and 2 (22.2%) severe. All patients received antiviral treatment. 12.9% patients received oxygen through nasal catheters, while 1.2% patients received invasive mechanical ventilation with ECMO. 70.6% patients had been discharged, and 1.2% had died. Interpretation: COVID-19 patients in Guangxi mainly presented as family clustering. Pulmonary fibrosis occurred in some patients. The number of viral nucleic acid tests in different samples of the body and the chest imaging characteristics of more patients should be further explored. We obtained written consent from the patients.
