Kir4.1 RNA Interference by In Utero Electroporation Fails to Affect Ictogenesis and Reveals a Possible role of Kir4.1 in Corticogenesis

•In utero RNA interfering efficiently down-regulate Kir 4.1 expression in astrocytes.•The PiggyBac transposon system combined with IUE at E16 fails to alter r K+ buffering.•Focal down-regulation of Kir4.1 reveals a possible role of Kir4.1 on corticogenesis.
