Tribute To Folke Sjoqvist, A Pioneer In Clinical Pharmacology

Professor Folke Sjöqvist, MD, PhD, passed away on March 30, 2020 at the age of 86 years in Stockholm, Sweden. He was a pioneer in clinical pharmacology in Sweden and dedicated to the development of the discipline world-wide. He is survived by his wife Margareta and four children with families. Folke graduated from Medical School in 1959 and defended his PhD thesis on ganglionic cholinergic transmission in the autonomic nervous system in 1962 at Karolinska Institutet under the mentorship of Professor Bo Holmstedt.
