Noble-metal-free cobaloxime coupled with metal-organic frameworks NH 2 -MIL-125: A novel bifunctional photocatalyst for photocatalytic NO removal and H 2 evolution under visible light irradiation.

•A novel bifunctional NH2-MIL-125/Co(dmgH)2 composite catalyst was prepared facilely.•The catalyst can achieve NO elimination and hydrogen production simultaneously.•The catalyst exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance under visible light.•Noble-metal-free Co(dmgH)2 as a co-catalyst to promote photoinduced charge separation.•The in-situ DRIFTS spectra were used to analyze intermediates during the NO removal.
