Abstract
•Triple therapy with steroids, vitamin C and thiamine has been recently proposed as safe and beneficial in sepsis.•Evidence based guidelines suggest low dose steroids in patients with septic shock and poor responsive to vasopressors.•In refractory septic shock the use of triple therapy seems to improve clinical outcome rather than steroids alone.
