Structural, optical and potential sensing properties of tyrosinase immobilized graphene oxide thin film on gold surface

•The preparation of tyrosinase immobilized graphene oxide thin film on gold surface was proposed.•The structural and optical properties of the thin film were investigated.•The study proved that the thin film has potential to detect phenol using surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy.
