The first combined archaeological and archaeometric analyses on Bronze Age pottery from Kyrgyzstan (Uch Kurbu site)

•Bronze Age pottery from Uch Kurbu ascribed to the Andronovo Culture is analysed.•It is the first archaeological and archaeometric research on pottery from Kyrgyzstan.•Several local productions related to successive occupations at the site were identified.•The technological processes of pottery manufacture were rather basic and standardised.•Stylistic and compositional data point to a local/regional pottery tradition in the Andronovo area.
