An Embedded BCI System Based on Steady-State Visual Evoked Potential

In recent years, the most popular brain-computer interface based on steady-state visual evoked potential is working on a personal computer. The integration level of the system is not only low efficiency, but also the error probability is increased in the process of multiple transmission of information, and real-time performance of the system is reduced. This paper designs a set of embedded control system, which was used to process electroencephalography signal on line. Specifically, the method is integrated on the ARM9 embedded platform. The electroencephalography signal is sent directly to the embedded platform through the acquisition device. The embedded platform will directly process the signal without the personal computer's calculation, and the result can be fed back in real time. The experiments result demonstrate that our method can improves the portability of the system and reduces the probability of error caused by data transmission.
