摘要

•Fresh frozen plasma increases intracellular cAMP levels in endothelial cells.•On one hand, this attenuates LPS-mediated pro-inflammatory activation.•Disturbed barrier function and protein phosphorylation are restored.•Concomitantly, NF-κB nuclear translocation and monocyte adhesion are increased.•In surgery patients, glycocalyx degradation was diminished by FFP transfusion.
