•Many cancer survivors experience difficulties with attention and memory.•No studies have tested whether tDCS can improve cognition in survivors.•We applied prefrontal tDCS to breast cancer survivors during an attention task.•Stimulation significantly improved speed and variability of response times.•tDCS may be a promising intervention for attentional deficits in cancer survivors.
