摘要
This course is for students, practitioners and academics interested in understanding the evolution of the field of human-computer interaction that now presents us with new opportunities and serious challenges. Early visions were achieved, bringing anticipated benefits but also unanticipated consequences. Hindsight can identify future possibilities and past oversights. Creativity will be needed to address them. The course surveys HCI in computer science, human factors, information systems, and information science, and discusses relationships to design and artificial intelligence. In a diverse field, it is useful to understanding the forces that have guided the interaction of related disciplines. The principal goal of this course is to better understand significant issues that will engage us for years to come.
