Optical induction of two-dimensional photorefractive photonic microstructures using six wedge prisms array

•We fabricate three kinds of periodic microstructures in LiNbO3:Fe crystal.•The experimental setup does not need complicated optical alignment components.•The method can adjust the polarization and phase delay of interference beams.•Induced microstructures are analyzed and validated by diverse methods.•Other more complex photonic microstructures can be fabricated with this method.
