Abstract
Myocardial fibrosis plays a critical pathophysiological role in cardiovascular disease. Myocardial fibrosis has now been shown to be associated with abnormal oxidative stress and excessive secretion of inflammatory factors. Neddylation abnormalities have been shown to be closely related to many diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and cardiovascular diseases. Defective in cullin neddylation 1(DCN1), as a co-E3 ligase, interacts with UBE2M to enhance the activation of CRLs and this interaction is emerging as a therapeutic target for human diseases. However, the role of DCN1-UBC12 interaction inhibitors in myocardial fibrosis is still unclear and worthy of further investigation.
