Influence of the fertilizer type in the agronomic and energetic behaviour of the residues coming from oleander, cypress and quinoa

•Oleander, quinoa and cypress biomass residues were analysed.•NPK and cow manure were the fertilizers employed for comparison purposes.•Agronomic and thermal behaviour was improved after fertilizer application.•TGA and kinetics revealed that all new crops had acceptable fuel properties.•Fertilizer application decreased Ea values for almost all cases.
