Importance of Isolating Drainage Veins during Surgical Removal of Brain Arteriovenous Malformations
Surgery for Cerebral Stroke(2020)
摘要
Background: Detaching niduses and shunt components from normal brain tissues is essential during the surgical removal of an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). However, while intraoperative confirmation of the complete removal of these components is difficult, the color of drainage veins is often not improved following microscopic removal of the latter. Therefore, drainage veins are usually isolated for a complete detachment of residual shunt components.
