Detection and Analysis of a Partial Discharge Malfunction on Intermediate Joint of Power Transmission Cable

Intermediate joint is an important accessory equipment of power transmission cable, which connects several sections of cable as a whole, and the insulating property of cable accessory is the foundation of safe and stable operation of transmission cable. In view of the current situation of frequent partial discharge malfunction which occurs on high voltage transmission cable intermediate joint, the detection, disposal and analysis process of a new PD check method based on wireless communication is elaborated in this paper, and the measures which could prevent such malfunction and improve transmission cable operation reliability are proposed to be a reference for the operation and maintenance of transmission cable.
