Performance of different solvents on extraction of bioactive compounds, antioxidant and cytotoxic activities in Phoenix loureiroi Kunth leaves

•Various solvents were used for extraction of bioactive compounds from date palm leaves.•Polyphenols and organic acids were determined by HPLC-DAD systems.•Antioxidant and cytotoxic activity in extracts of leaves was determined.•Correlation coefficients were evaluated against antioxidant activity of extracts.•Chemometric analysis revealed the distribution of components in leaves extracts.
