Uniaxial High Strain Rate Tension with the Use of Magnetic Pulse Method

摘要
The high energy density of magnetic field makes it possible to use pulsed magnetic systems for generation of controlled pressure pulses of microsecond duration. The paper proposes a test scheme for uniaxial tension of plastic materials with a high strain rate, which is most convenient for analyzing the results. Based on numerical simulations and initial experiments, the possibility of implementing modes with strain rates of 10 3 - 10 4 1/s with the ability to study the impact of the pulse current on the deformation process is shown.
