Radiotherapy Induced Vascular Occlusion: Percutaneous Angioplasty Vs Conservative Approach

Radiation induces complicated vascular occlusions due to scarring, adventitial fibrosis, elastic degeneration, and accelerated atherosclerosis. Such occlusions were typically treated by vascular surgery bypassing the stenosis. However, minimally invasive percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA)
