Iatrogenic Breast Foreign Body Seen on a Screening Mammogram

Breast foreign bodies are rarely reported. Most of these foreign bodies can stay asymptomatic for long time prior to presentation or diagnosis on screening mammograms; some can be harmless while others can lead to serious complications. We cared for a 51-year-old lady who was referred to the breast unit following a screening mammogram which revealed two metallic foreign bodies in the right breast.
