摘要

•Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) was used for membrane preparation.•PECVD phosphonic membranes showed better water sorption behavior than Nafion® 212.•Pulsed PECVD phosphonic membrane showed better water sorption than continuous one.•PECVD membranes were highly cross-linked and thus less permeable than Nafion® 212.
