Environment occurrence of perfluoroalkyl acids and associated human health risks near a major fluorochemical manufacturing park in southwest of China.

•High levels of PFAAs were observed in river/tap water, soil and leaves near to a FMP.•PFOA concentrations in most tap water samples exceeded the US EPA Health Advisory.•Isomer profiles demonstrated that emitted PFOA was manufactured by electrochemical fluorination.•Health risks would be underestimated if branched isomers are not analyzed.
