摘要
In this rare case, we report a young patient with advanced urachal carcinoma with abdominal wall infiltration. For this patient, we performed adjuvant chemotherapy and radiation therapy after laparoscopic partial cystectomy, achieving relatively better progression-free survival of 21 months. Eventually, extensive implantation metastases in abdominal and pelvic cavity were found, even though the area that underwent adjuvant radiation therapy was spared, including the high-risk area, tumor bed, and regional lymph drainage. The implantation metastasis was highly suspicious of the surgery outcome, considering the nature and defect of endoscopic surgery. Because there is no standard protocol for the treatment of urachal carcinoma, this case rings a bell for the introduction of helpful adjuvant treatments and the importance of careful surgery.
