Abstract
This paper proposed a three-phase modified Z-source three-level T-type inverter (MZS-3LTI) topology implemented by integrating a modified Z-source impedance network with embedded dc source to the traditional three-level T-type inverter. The proposed MZS-3LTI provides the enhanced boost ability and ensures the continuous dc source current by adopting the embedded concept without any extra capacitor or filter. The modulation technique is proposed for controlling effectively the upper and lower shoot-through states with a simple logic circuit and reducing the number of switching. The performances of the proposed topology and the modulation technique are demonstrated through simulation results.
