•Effect of annealing of Ni-Mn-In ribbon was studied using EMR.•The temperature dependence of the linewidth is governed by the Korringa relaxation.•The temperature dependence of integrated intensity exhibits a Curie-Weiss behavior.•Annealing increases the TC and changes the first-order phase transition temperature.
