Water and Treated Wastewater Allocation in Urban Areas Considering Social Attachments

•This paper presents a novel approach for considering social attachments in water allocation.•The proposed approach takes into account the effects of social attachments on agents' decisions.•Social Network Analysis (SNA) is applied to evaluate the coordination level between the agents.•To evaluate the applicability of the approach, it is applied to the Kan River Basin in Iran.
