Surface Plasmon Resonance Chemical Sensors Based On Amorphous Chalcogenide Waveguides

Software uses matrices method for finding the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is developed and calculations are provided for four-layer thin-film geometry. Numerical simulations concerning SPR curves with As2S3 amorphous chalcogenide film are done. The structure is very sensitive to changes of refractive indices of liquids that are in contact with amorphous film. The SPR sharpness is higher in comparison with well-known three-layer Kretschmann configuration that means better sensibility up to 10(-5) of chemical sensors based on optical SPR.
