Abstract
•Co3O4/m-ZrO2 is clearly more active than Co3O4/t-ZrO2 for N2O catalytic decomposition.•Co3O4/m-ZrO2 exhibits similar activity and much higher specific activity compared with bare Co3O4.•Co3O4/m-ZrO2 shows stronger interactions between the active component and support than Co3O4/t-ZrO2.•The reasons contributing to the excellent N2O decomposition performance of Co3O4/m-ZrO2 are proposed.
