摘要
•SCSMO films grew epitaxially with out-of-plane compressive strain (σ) in [101] direction.•Magnetoresistance (MR) increases about 10 times (at 120 K) with reduction of the strain.•Enhancement of MR explained in terms of Small Polaron Hopping model.•Strain induced probable changes in lattice structure leads to such enhancement in MR.
