摘要
•AhHDA1 played a negative role in regulating the expression of AhGLK1 by altering its histone deacetylation levels.•AhGLK1 activated chlorophyll biosynthesis and photosynthesis-related genes in peanut hairy roots.•AhGLK1 activated AhCAB and AhPORA expression by binding to the respective promoters in recovery after water stress.•AhHDA1 attenuated the effect of AhGLK1 on its target genes and stimulated histone deacetylation to inhibit their expressions during water stress.
