A Novel T And E-Shaped Stub Network For Mutual Coupling Reduction Of Two Monopole Antennas

摘要
A novel T and E-shaped stub network for mutual coupling reduction of two symmetric monopole antennas is proposed in this paper. T-shaped stub is short-circuited, which consists of a big and small rectangular branch. E-shaped stub is open-circuited, which consists of an unbent and bent rectangular branch. The proposed T and E shaped stub network is designed to create a reference electromagnetic wave to cancel the coupled waves between the two closely-positioned symmetric monopole antennas. Simulated results show that the proposed stub network is able to achieve port isolation improvement by at most 390% or 41.7dB over the frequency band of 2.24GHz to 2.57GHz. In addition, compared with the two original monopole antenna, the impedance matching is also improved slightly. The proposed stub network is easy to integrate with antenna element or antenna array.
