Abstract
Food safety is closely linked to public life and has drawn great attention from society. In order to reduce the threat from the food safety, it is the significant to detect and track the detail information about the entire food supply chain. Therefore, it is urgent to establish a safe and reliable food safety traceability system. Internet of Things (IoT) has enabled traceability of food. However, it’s consist a larger number of IoT devices, which has led to an explosive growing in the data traffic of networks. To support the enormous requirements on data traffic, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology emerged. In this paper, we have introduced power-domain NOMA into the uplink transmission in IoT for food traceability system. The performance of sum data rate and outage probability is analyzed. Then, the numerical simulation results have shown that IoT with NOMA achieves higher sum data rate compared with traditional orthogonal multiple access.
