Designs Of Single/Dual-Band Bandpass Filter With Different Source And Load Impedances Using Genetic Algorithm

An optimized scheme using genetic algorithm is proposed to design single/dual-band bandpass filters(BPFs) in the situation of different source and load impedances. The electric parameters of the two-port network and its topology are transformed into data structures and then analyzed in some specific software simultaneously. The genetic-algorithm (GA) is then applied to search for the appropriate design topology and electrical parameters to meet the specific demand. For demonstration, with the source and load impedances of 50 and 75 ohms, two prototypes (single/dual-band BPFs) with rigorous specifications are designed and simulated. The simulated results agree well with theoretical ones, verifying the validity of the proposed method.
