摘要
The results presented in this paper were obtained from research on the development of visual motor integration in children aged 6 to 10 years. The sample of participants comprised 163 primary school children, 92 boys and 71 girls from grade 1 to grade 4. Micromotor efficiency of graphomotor type was assessed by the use of a test for the evaluation of visual motor integration (VMI). The obtained results showed constant progression in the field of graphomotor skills in children. A statistically significant point of increase of visual motor integration has been found between children in the first and second grade, in both boys and girls. The results also showed a statistically significant difference in graphomotor skills between first graders in favour of girls. The findings imply significance of the developmental period between the ages of 6 and 7 in the process of visual motor integration in the field of graphomotor skills as an integrative part of the ontogenetic development.
