Enhancement of Photodynamic antimicrobial chemotherapy through the use of Indium Cationic Porphyrin Conjugated to Ag/CuFe 2 O 4 nanoparticles.

•Photodynamic antimicrobial herapy against S. aureus of porphyrins when linked to magnetic nanoparticles is presented.•High singlet oxygen quantum yield are observed for the porphyrins in the presence of nanoparticles.•Log reduction values of > 9 are obtained for the quaternized porphyrin alone or when linked to nanoparticles are observed.
