摘要
•Livestock-associated methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus should be controlled as it can cause severe infections in humans.•Our new meta-population model combining within- and between-farm dynamics simulates LA-MRSA spread along the French pig movement network.•Reducing transmission in farms with the highest betweenness, outdegree or outflux is efficient to reduce LA-MRSA prevalence in pigs.•Farms with the highest indegree should be monitored to optimize surveillance of LA-MRSA introduction in the network.
