Having the ability to receive timely information pertaining to their sick animals is extremely useful for livestock producers, who usually live in rural areas where it is difficult to get immediate access to a veterinarian. Advances in technology have made it possible to improve human health care through e-health approaches, such as the popular website WebMD. A similar tactic could be borrowed to enhance and improve veterinary care for farmers in the livestock industry.
