Surgical Options in Management of Early Breast Cancer in the Older Age Group: A Multi Centre Study of 200 Cases

Background: Breast cancer regarded as the commonest malignant disease in women and accounted for 27% of cancers in developed countries .Mainly diagnosed in females aged ≥50 years and 33% of patients of age of ≥70 years. The older patients are treated with a narrower range of options that usually offered to the younger group. The National Breast Screening Program [NBSP] by mammography , invites age group between 50-70 years of age.
