Abstract
A novel beam-scanning leaky wave antenna based on integrated substrate gap waveguide (ISGW) is proposed. The proposed integrated substrate gap waveguides leaky wave antenna (ISGW-LWA) can achieve beam scanning from the backward, through broadside and to forward, i.e. from -11.8° to 7.2°. The simulation results of the ISGW-LWA shows that the frequency band with reflect coefficient less than -10dB is from 24 GHz to 30 GHz, which equivalent to relative bandwidth of 22.2%. Furthermore, the proposed maximum gain of the leaky wave antenna is 15.5 dB.
